men's rights discriminationMen's rights is a movement promoting equality for men, particularly in family court settings.

However, men are not the only victims when they are subjected to discrimination and forced out of their homes and children's lives by anti-dad family law judges. Children who are raised without a significant father presence in their lives are also victims.

Here are 9 alarming stats that show how destructive it is to systematically remove a father from his child's life.

According to research, children who are raised in fatherless homes account for the following:

1.    63% of youth suicides. (Source: US Dept. of Health & Human Services, Bureau of the Census).
2.    71% of pregnant teenagers. (Source: US Dept. of Health & Human Services)
3.    90% of all homeless and runaway children.
4.    70% of juveniles in state-operated institutions come from fatherless homes (Source: U.S. Dept. of Justice)
5.    85% of all children that exhibit behavioral disorders. (Source: Centre for Disease Control).
6.    80% of rapists motivated with displaced anger. (Source: Criminal Justice & Behavior).
7.    71% of all high school dropouts. (Source: National Principals Association Report on the State of High Schools).
8.    75% of all adolescent patients in chemical abuse centers. (Source: Rainbows for all Gods' Children).
9.    85% of all youths sitting in prisons. (Source: Fulton Co. Georgia jail populations, Texas Dept. of Corrections).

What a joke this is...an article by Cordell & Cordell (a law firm who markets to fathers' rights) describing the failure in our system. My ex-wife hired Cordell & Cordell and dragged me through the mud which resulted in my custody going from 50% to 4 days a month. This was after two failed attempts 6 and 8 years earlier to take my daughter from me. Cordell doesn't care about fathers' rights, they only care about the retainer. My advice - get a vasectomy and don't ever get married.

equal rights are not going to 'save' divorced children&fathers, divorced children are being discriminated-tortured and in essence harmed&damaged4life in their being, fatherless-defathered (lesbian) households are no family, divorce is not normal, divorce is child abuse and parent-family alinenation to begin with, the sic&selfish divorcing parent is obvious unfit and has to be removed from child(ren)&family AT ONCE, to heal&adjust from femini$$m !!

@Andrew....Custody is the often the most crucial issue in divorces. In determining where the children will live and when they will see each parent in Colorado, and who will make the major decision for children until they are 19, the court is guided by one standard--the best interests of the child. Allocation of parenting time, decision making, and a child support award will not be given to a parent as a reward or as punishment to the guilty parent but rather to the one most adaptable to the task of caring for the child and able to control and direct the child.

Other factors considered may include the age of the parent and child, the physical and mental condition of the parent and child, the relationship existing between each parent and each child, the needs of the child, the role played by each parent in the upbringing and caring for the child, the home where the child will live and the child's wishes if the child is of sufficient age, intelligence and maturity to make such a decision. Allocation of parenting time and decision making can be modified after the initial decision is made, these changes are referred to as post-decree modifications. It is important to understand, however, how a pattern of parenting time may impact the ability to modify parenting time and the standard that will be applied in post-decree cases. The standard in post-decree modifications may not be best interests, but may be a much harder standard referred to generally as “endangerment”.

If the parties can not agree to an appropriate parenting time and decision making arrangement, then the Court will decide. An important factor to the court in most parental rights cases is which parent will be the most likely to see to it that the non-custodial parent remains a strong part of the child or children's lives.

oh yes sexism and injustice against us men are out there.men are expected to be providers, protectors, not show any emotion. we dont have the support system, women have. a woman can get away with showing her emotions without being criticized men cant.a woman hitting a man is more accepted in society than a man hitting a woman.an unemployed woman is accepted better, than an unemployed man,men usually notice a womans looks first, first thing most women want to know are a mans income and occupation.almost 100 percent men would accept a woman unemployed, while only 50 some percent women would accept a man unemployed.for us supposely being less emotional,it seems to we men cut women more slack than women cut men slack.some female call men mommas boy,yet it wasnt our fault we came up fatherless, you dont hear men call females daddys girl as much. were told suck it up,man up,grow up,stop whining, yet you dont hear this apply to women much.last ive checked all humans sin and that includes women, society seems to punish mens sins while justifying womens.if society doesnt get women for this christ and god will.if a man doesnt work women complain,if he does work then they say hes not home enough, how do you win?

I am a parolee, on a good path, tons of documentation and helping organizations. Even the DOC is backing me, but the former DA is my support/custody judge and I can"t get him changed? Really? A system that is so expensive to change something that being poor makes me guilty?
I have broken no laws or parole rules yet I can go to jail for support? Hmm.. thought debtors prisons were abolished in the 1800's
